again I was at the gym and pool...I need to my daily swim...dreading October when the pool closes

Had a salad with the dressing on the side for lunch

Day 24
I got up went to the gym and then headed to the pool.
The pool was not very long or even very deep but I kept it up.
We walked everywhere
Had a salad for lunch....which was drowned in dressing...so I picked at the chicken, tomatoes and cucumber...they had no dressing on thank goodness! and ....Note to self ask for dressing on the side!!!!

Another early morning.
Swimming and water aerobics ~ REALLY pushed myself.
G cooked pork chops ~ They had potatoes
I had parsnips and peas....I never made gravy and it still tasted good.

I was at the pool around 6~ish....bit later than I planned...but as I was there
Even though Sunday is a day off exercise I knew I would not be exercising on Tuesday.
A pretty easy day....
I had a nano nap... REALLY needed it.
Went out for dinner with JR and family for a family dinner.
1 alcoholic drink ~ a Moscow mule ~ then soda water
I did have dessert AGAIN :(

Day 20
Day 20, I went to I did extra work....I needed to as there was Sayonara get together for JR.
Have to say I have food week 3 the hardest so far....
Even with not being perfect and working extra hard....I found this the hardest week so far.
Breakfast was good
lunch was good...grilled salmon salad with balsamic vinegar. NO OIL!!!!!
Everyone brought absolutely awesome food.

Day 19
At 4.30 the rain was lashing down.
I got up and dressed for the gym....I wanted the pool
Bathers and towel where taken with me in the hope the rain would easy off.
While in the gym I did a little bit...but I REALLY wanted to go to the pool.
As B said well your gong to get anyway...so I headed out to the pool.

I have realized I am not actually being being good by doing extra lengths, I have just built my way up to the extra lengths and I am do more lengths in the same time.
So I need to get over myself saying I have done extra lengths.

Day 17
Decided that I would only swim. Well that was out the window because after the typhoon I needed to remove stuff from the pool to swim.
Then when I finished swimmingI carried on doing some clean up...pulling the mats from the pool.
Believe me that is hard work.
Had to be in Tokyo early Dr's appoint and Embassy...So drove up.
Dr was impressed with weight loss...YAYYYY.
Quick Embassy visit so G said lets go for lunch.
I ate the meat and left the rice....and you know what i was not hungry.
I asked for diet soda...they had none So water it was.
They were giving samples of food out...Ok its a small sample I cant keep eating them...never sampled because I quickly caught that they were banana stuff, so I refused..until I seen the brownies....So I had a sample...It was lovely, but the sample was enough. When i came home I never even needed my fruit.
One of my fav cafes is Paul's. Found one in the airport yesterday. Bought J some stuff and I never ate any of what I bought him. G seen that all was still in the bag when he got home...think he was impressed...I know I was.
Weighing in day.... 1.7kg lose Yayyyyyy

Day 16
Good mood day!!!
I hit the gym and the pool and I did an extra 10 lengths!!!!

...Brownie Jubilee :( cheese and pineapple.... why could you have not stayed back in the 80's where you belong....I loved cheese and pineapple on a stick in the 80's and I love cheese and pineapple on a stick now :(
I never ate loads of party food...but way more than I should have. As in one mouthful was way tooooo much.

The support and encouragement that I am getting from everyone is fantastic. Thank you EVERYONE!
I got a message from somebody who I became friends with when I first moved to Dubai.

day 14
I had a pretty good day.
I never went to slept until REALLY late saturday night. Hoping I would sleep past my usual wake up time...I did sleep past my usual wake up time...I woke at 6.15 am Arrggghhhh
I never over ate!!!! I am getting SOOOOO much better!
No exercise today, wish I had because swimming ALWAYS makes my back feel better.
We had a leisurely breakfast, headed out for fathers day lunch where we all had steak. I removed ALL fat.... Left my green beans because they had been cooked in some sort of fat. My plate came out with fries. which I immediately removed from my plate. I noticed there was 2 fries left on my plate. Those same 2 fries where still there when my plate was taken away :) That is a big step forward for me.
I came home and slept....bad move normally.
When I went to bed I thought arrggghhhh hoping I sleep early. Well I never seen 10 pm so I am guessing I needed ALL that sleep.
After dinner Walked with a friend around the neighbourhood.
We walked 2 km while not the biggest walk in the world. I was not sat on my backside watching TV.

Day 13
tried to kick it up a notch on today
I was up and out and at the club by 4.30. I attempted my 1km run again...still a long way off.
I was so early I had to unlock the gym.
Finished with some swimming.
Had a fab lunch at the club, a nice salad with grilled salmon YES I DID EAT FISH!
Then went to the club's Brazilian night. I drank some coke zero.
No more cola for a while.

Ok...I knew I should have wrote this down sooner :(
I was up and in the pool early on friday. Very sluggish exercise on this morning, that I did notice.
Never did any extra workout as far as I can remember.... again :( part for the memory lose and part because well I can't remember the other part, forgotten it already.
Went to Costco and while stocking up on water I bought some fizzy water. I am getting a little boarded with water EVERY meal time or soda water at the club.
Friend came over for dinner and I served on of the 12WBT recipes.
I also tried another 12WBT recipe as my snack on day 12 it was strawberries, watermelon, mint and rosewater.
it was AWESOME!!!!

Day 11
I decided last night I was exercising at home today.
...so at 4.10AM when I was wide awake...I lay there until 4.45 and gave up going back to sleep.
Got my swimmers on, got my gym clothes and headed out of the door.
So much for exercising at home!!!!
I did my swimming and then I seen that the gym was pretty busy so I headed out to the field and did my attempt of my 1km run. I never ran the whole way....I don't even think after the 12WBT has finished I will be able to run the whole way.
But I did manage it in 1 minute and 30 secs less than my first attempt!
My food intake was great today.
I had a peach and some cherries for my snacks.
I went for a facial today. I would love to say that it was as a reward, but no I had already booked it.
But what I did do when I had finished was I walked home.
So while I did not exercise at home....I did get a nano nap in :)
My second biggest loser cook book arrived. This one is MUCH better than the last one and I will be using this one!

Day 10
It was weighing day today.....I was really worried.
I mean I had not exactly been an angel this week. Then there was the bread fiasco yesterday.
...but I got on the scale...and I had lost 1.8kg!!!!!
So in total I have lost 3.5KG's or 7.7 lbs plus I have also lost 19 cm's.
So I was very happy to do my hour at the pool and then head into the gym.
Today I was out for lunch, I had soda water and a salad, I am sure the dressing was more than my allowed calories for the day :) but you know what. I worked extra hard this morning.
I will work extra hard tomorrow and then next day and so on!!!
I am also SOOOOOO lucky that I have some amazing people around me who are all so supportive and keep encouraging me.

Day 9
I shake my head as I type this today :(
I was at the gym early and decided that I was not going swimming.
(wishing now I had gone)
My workout was tough. But I know know I should have done more!
I found I was sooooooo hungry today. I ate extra bread. :( I know this is bad!
I did drink water and hoped it was going to help the hunger.
guessing that I must not have been thirsty because after a gallon of water I wanted a sandwich and I ate another sandwich.
The problem was I was so tired that I know I would not be able to go to the gym and make up for this blimp :(
....but after a little advice.....
I came hmpe and made a chicken stir fry without oil and add almost every veggie I could find that I knew how to cook.
I was 42 calories over my allowance for the day
Have to say I felt soooo much better. Not because it was healthy but because all was not lost!
In future if I do something similar, I will make sure it's stir fry for dinner.

Can't really see me using it. The 12WBT had better recipes with a lot less calories per meal

Day 8
Monday was a day off school, I still was up early. Not as early as normal.
I decided to do a gym session and a swimming session.
The gym session was not that bad. I actually enjoyed it!
Great day eating!
finished off all melon in the house.
after speaking with somebody special...it made me want to work harder
Went to a neighbour last night who ALWAYS has the best sweets and candies...I never touched one.
I did steal the apples she had cut up!
I am also drinking the recommend water allowance, plus some!
I decided to do a gym session and a swimming session.

Day 6
Day 6 big exercise day!!!
after day 5's evening I knew I had extra work to do.
So I wake up later than normal...I go and get dressed in my swimmers. I get into the car and realize I needed my wipers on and thought hummm shall I just go back inside...
Hummmm no! I mean come on Wend, rain, pool both wet...come on get a grip. Your getting into a swimming pool for goodness sake.
So I head off, get into the pool and decided today I am going to swim 100 lengths!
When i first started swimming here 10 lengths was my limit.
100 lengths was also one of my fitness goal.
Well...I managed it. I reached one of my goals.
I then finished with some water aerobics!
Another night out last night.
I never over loaded my plate. I ate only the fresh fruit salad at dessert.
I drank soda water all night with fresh lime.
I need to find out if soda water is ok

Day 4
Well I swam and swam on day 4 because i knew I was going out.
Which in hind sight was may be not a good idea...Because I was starving yesterday.
I add 2 bowls of muesli :(
What I am doing is when I adding something to my food diary if I can't find the exact thing I always add the highest calorie product...
So when I ate lower sugar muesli I add the deluxe brand. I know this was more calories than what was in what I had eaten, but I could not remember the exact data. So this way I don't feel I am cheating :)
At the night out I drank 2 alcoholic drinks...both vodka
Vodka soda with lime. I had ordered others, but did not like them (thank goodness)
I then stuck to the lime and soda's. Not because I am worried about my diet, but just because.
What I did worry about was the amount of junk I ate last night.

Day 3
weighing day!!!!
The 6. point something earthquake woke me with it's gentle swaying...NOT!!!!
So I got up and put my swimmers on and headed out to the pool.
I got there around 5.30am ish.
when I started swimming I was only able to really do 10 lengths and that was at a push...I am now doing minimum of 40 lengths and if I have time another 20/30 lengths with the kick board.
Off I go swimming away and then remember that it is the Dad's morning swim morning....But I still carried on. Even when they were doing 100 lengths to my one length.
I finished with water weights and headed home for the weighing.
I lost 1.7KG's in just 2 days....
J was off sick again and as I already had my Dr's appointment I called and made one for him as well.
I drop the other kids off in the carpool and we head for Starbucks so J and J could get a drink...I ordered WATER...Yes I did, WATER!!!
Seen a couple of mum's in there who told me how proud they were of me...and let me tell you that went a long way for my self esteem yesterday! Thank you ladies!

My shoulder is killing me....I have it this for years and lately it is getting worse and worse.
I am working through it :)

Day 2
Today was not the best day again as J was sick and home from school.
I went to the club for lunch and asked for a wrap with grilled chicken and veggies and a salad.
it was awesome...even more so because I thought it would be awful....NO MAYO...but it was really good.
At school I was starving so went to the Zest Kitchen and got myself an homemade energy slice.
Dinner was a hit with G, a thai curry...But I changed it up a bit...I had beef to use and the recipe calls for chicken...
I added the broccoli (and I ate it!) I also added some bean sprouts.
and served this with half a cook of brown rice.
Watermelon was my new best friend yesterday....and I ate all the watermelon we had in the house and I never asked anyone if they wanted any....sad I know.

Day 1
Ok....So here there I was all charged up for the day ahead.
I had a good start with my breakfast.
Planned on doing school drop off and then head to the pool for my daily swim.
For some reason I thought...wear your trackie bottoms today Wend! (thank goodness I did)
On my way to school a car was coming in the wrong direction ~ (they were not allowed to do this until after 9 am) I smash the mirror of my car...Arrgghhhh.
I finish school drop off...then needed to head back around (after 9am to see what I had hit)
Thank goodness I had trackie bottoms and a shirt on. as I needed to get out the car to take pictures.
I normally walk VERY quickly from the car to the pool from my car and I am already changed and ready to get straight in the pool
Needed to stay home them for most of the day waiting for my car to be picked up and a replacement car.
I was very proud of myself last night.
My son was promised a take way, which is what he wanted last night...I order it for him.
I cooked my dinner and I never even looked at his!
